The public will see any videos of officer-involved shootings in Milwaukee in just over two weeks.
The city’s Fire and Police Commission yesterday approved a new 15-day video policy for the department. The change means families of people shot by the police will get to see the video within two days. Before the new policy, Milwaukee didn’t have an official timeline to release officer-involved shooting videos. Milwaukee’s police chief wanted a 45-day policy, but says he will accept the FPC’s decision.
