Madison is being hit with a bitter winter storm packing Arctic air and dangerously cold temperatures.
Forecasters say Southern Wisconsin will be hit with its third big snowstorm in recent weeks. A “polar vortex” is set to inundate the region with some of the coldest temperatures seen in years. Lows are predicted to be 20-below with wind chill values that are life-threatening. High winds will make travel difficult and treacherous as folks start their work week on Monday. The storm is expected to clear up by Tuesday.
