EC Officers Cleared in Shooting Incident

 Eau Claire Police are clearing two officers involved in a shooting from last fall.

The city’s police department yesterday said the officers actions were ‘appropriate, necessary, and compliant’ with police procedures. The two officers shot and wounded a man after he pointed a gun at them following a 911 call last September. The man with the gun survived the shooting, and the officers were not hurt.

Eau Claire County’s D.A. had already cleared the officers of any potential charges in the case.
