Attorney General Josh Kaul says a different approach is needed for the state to withdraw from a lawsuit to overturn the Affordable Care Act.
Kaul told Governor Tony Evers today that the Wisconsin DOJ didn’t have the power alone to withdraw from the lawsuit. He says approval is needed from the Legislature’s Joint Committee On Finance. The governor has not indicated his next move on the issue, but has been committed to ending the state’s participation in the lawsuit to overturn the ACA.
