An analysis by a watchdog group of spending by candidates and election groups reveals record spending in the governor’s race.
The Wisconsin Democracy Campaign says more than 93-million-dollars was spent on the race between Scott Walker and Tony Evers. Nearly 58-million was spent by Republican candidates and their special interest groups and over 35-million was spent by democrats. Former Governor Walker dropped over 36-million-dollars on his campaign, which was more than three times what was spent by Governor Tony Evers and his running mate Lieutenant Governor Mandela Barnes.
