A La Crosse man is going to prison for five years after pleading guilty to possessing methamphetamine. The La Crosse Tribune says 30-year-old Eddy Arca was arrested by a La Crosse police officer who mistook him for a different suspect, but he ran and was eventually found with over six ounces of the drug on him.
Arca had a felon in possession of ammunition charge dropped in exchange for his guilty plea in federal court. Arca says he wants to get drug treatment while in prison and work as a barber to support his kids when he gets out.
