The next time you buy a Wisconsin Lottery ticket, know you’re doing it for a good cause.
Lotto managers yesterday said this year’s ticket sales helped cut property taxes across the state by about 200 dollars. The state’s Department of Revenue says the total is actually 213 dollars, and that’s a little less than last year’s 230 lottery tax credit from 2021. Some people may see a little more or a little less though, it all depends on your local school district’s tax rate.
