The sheriff in Fond du Lac County says teamwork helped save a man who lost two fingers in his snowblower over the weekend.
Deputies say the man from Alto was clearing a jam in his snowblower on Christmas Day when the blades chopped off two fingers. He called 911, but it took deputies and two snowplows to reach the man. His driveway was over 800 feet long, and buried in snow. It took about 15 minutes of plowing to clear a path for the ambulance. Paramedics were then able to treat the man and get him to the hospital.
