On Sunday, December 25, 2022, at approximately 4:47 PM a Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper stopped a vehicle on Catlin Avenue in the city of Superior after observing the vehicle failing to stop at a stop sign.
The Trooper observed signs of impairment and a subsequent investigation, including standardized field sobriety tests, showed the driver, 52 year old Todd Kenneth Burd from Superior, WI, was operating the motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant 7th offense with a minor passenger. Mr. Burd was arrested and transported to St. Marys Hospital for an evidentiary test of his blood and then to the Douglas County jail. The child, age 10, was released to an adult family member.
