A conservative legal group is suing for clarification over whether wedding barns will require a liquor license to serve alcohol.
The Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty says former Republican Attorney General Brad Schimel put the wedding barn industry in limbo after issuing an informal legal opinion. The opinion suggests such barns are public venues which would require them to have liquor licenses.
