Twenty-six people are applying to be the new superintendent of the Altoona School District.
The Leader-Telegram reports a meeting will be held tonight where school board members will discuss the applicants in an attempt to whittle them down to six or seven candidates. Those should then be cut down to three finalists by the end of tomorrow who will each spend time with the district at the end of the month getting interviewed. A finalist could be chosen as soon as January 30th.
