The November election is all but over.
The Wisconsin Elections Commission yesterday said all 72 counties have completed their vote canvasses. That means the local votes have been counted and sent to the state. The Commission says statewide candidates have until Friday to ask for a recount. After the recount window closes, the Elections Commission has until December 1st to certify the election results.
When it comes to the close races in our state, the Republican in the race, Amy Loundenbeck, yesterday conceded the race. She’s down by just over seven thousand-votes according to the latest unofficial count. Her decision means Secretary of State Doug La Follette will serve another term.
He’s been Wisconsin’s Secretary of State since 1983.
