Wisconsin’s U.S. Senate race is drawing a who’s-who of national political figures to campaign with Republican Senator Ron Johnson and his Democratic challenger, Lieutenant Governor Mandela Barnes less than two weeks before the midterm election.
Joining Johnson on his bus tour of the state Friday were Republican National Committee Chair Ronna McDaniel, Florida Senator Rick Scott, and others Friday morning at a stop in Franklin. U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg stumped for Barnes at an event in Madison, with support from a Democratic lineup that included Senator Tammy Baldwin and actor Bradley Whitford. Former President Barack Obama will campaign with Barnes today in Milwaukee.
