On 10/28/22 at 12:13 PM the Wisconsin State Patrol received a call of a hit-and-run crash that occurred on I-94 eastbound at milepost 33 in Dunn County.
It was reported that a blue BMW with front-end damage had left the crash scene. Dunn County Sheriffs Dept. located the BMW on I-94 and attempted to stop it. The BMW failed to stop, and a pursuit ensued reaching speeds over 100 mph. Tire deflation devices were set up but unsuccessful. Pursuing officers lost sight of the vehicle but was located a short time later by Eau Claire Police officers on Highway 37 near Craig Road where two occupants fled on foot.
A perimeter was set up and a male and female suspect were eventually taken into custody. Both suspects are being treated at the hospital for minor injuries related to the crash and will then be transported to the Dunn County Jail. The crash and subsequent pursuit remain under investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol.
