Brooks To Represent Himself

Brooks To Represent Himself

The man accused of killing six and injuring 60 others during last year’s Waukesha Christmas Parade will represent himself at his trial.

A judge yesterday signed-off on Darrell Brooks Jr. acting as his own lawyer.  Brooks originally planned an insanity defense, but later changed his mind.  The judge in the case yesterday said there’s no evidence that Brooks is mentally incapable of acting as his own lawyer, though she says it may be very difficult for him. Brooks’ trial is scheduled to begin on Monday.
