Wisconsin’s governor says he’ll legalize marijuana if he’s re-elected.
Governor Tony Evers told The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel yesterday that he will focus on legalizing and taxing marijuana in his second term. The governor says it’s time that Wisconsin join the dozens of other states which have either medical marijuana or recreational marijuana programs. Evers said he will use the millions of dollars from pot sales to pay for schools across the state.
On the other side of the aisle, Republicans say his talk of legal pot is simply an election year gimmick.
