Madison’s congressman is defending the costs and benefits of President Biden’s student loan cancellation plan.
Democratic Congressman Mark Pocan was on Capital City Sunday yesterday. He said the plan doesn’t need to help everyone as long as it helps some people. Pocan is having to defend the cancellation policy that will have people who never went to college pay for the loans of those who did. Pocan says as long as ‘all boats are lifted,’ the policy is a good one. Pocan, however, didn’t have an answer about what the cancellation will mean for inflation in the country.
