Prosecutors Drop Some Charges Against Parade Attack Suspect

Prosecutors are dropping some of the charges against the suspect in the Waukesha Christmas Parade attack.

The D.A. in Waukesha yesterday agreed to dismiss six counts of homicide by vehicle with a drug enhancer against Darrell Brooks Jr. The judge in the case says there can’t be two punishments for the same crime. Brooks will continue to face six counts of first degree homicide for the six people police say he killed when he sped through the parade. Brooks is scheduled to go on trial later this fall.
