The Chippewa Valley is starting the week with medium coronavirus activity.
The CDC updated its coronavirus numbers last Thursday, and said Eau Claire and Chippewa counties have dropped out of high coronavirus levels. Many other western and northern Wisconsin counties, however, continue to see high levels. That includes Barron County and Rusk county.
There are once again fewer than 500 people in the hospital with the coronavirus in Wisconsin. The state’s Hospital Association on Friday said 461 people are hospitalized across the state, including 65 in the ICU. Both of those numbers are down from the start of last week.
Wisconsin continues to see coronavirus levels in-line with last spring.
