It’s the 17-year anniversary of the Stoughton tornado that killed one person and injured nearly two dozen others.
The Stoughton tornado was an EF-3, a half-mile wide, and was on the ground for about 20 miles. It was one of 27 tornadoes that tore across Wisconsin on this day back in 2005, causing around 30-million dollars worth of damage. The outbreak remains the largest in Wisconsin history.
