August 12th is National Vinyl Record Day.
It’s the perfect time to bust out a record player and listen to the classics. The day was founded by a California man who said the objective was to get people to “remember that, whatever we go through on a personal or national level, life has its goodness.” Although Vinyls are typically associated with music from decades past like the Beatles, Elvis, or Johnny Cash, records are still wildly popular today. Record sales have steadily increased since 2006 and in 2020 more Vinyl records were sold than CDs. This Friday is the perfect time to pick up a new record of your own, or to just listen to some of the classics.
