Ron on a pod…A veteran Republican senator wants to remove the “mandatory spending” label from Social Security and Medicare and he is using podcasts to spread that message.
Wisconsin’s Ron Johnson said the popular federal entitlement programs should be evaluated by Congress every year as “discretionary spending.” He argued that too much of the annual federal budget involves mandatory spending. He made the remarks on a podcast.
