It is the end of a political era in western Wisconsin. Congressman Ron Kind yesterday hosted his final corn roast in West Salem. Kind is retiring from Congress this year after 25 years. Governor Evers and Lt. Governor Mandela Barnes both turned out for yesterday’s roast. Kind’s retirement has opened-up western Wisconsin as one of a handful of possible swing seats in the November election.
