A Medford man picks up a 7th OWI.
It was on Monday, July 18th at approximately 3:24 pm, the Wisconsin State Patrol took a report of a vehicle traveling on Interstate 94 near Northfield, that was swerving back and forth between both eastbound lanes of traffic. A Wisconsin State Trooper was able to locate the vehicle and initiate a traffic stop at milepost 120 south of Black River Falls, after observing multiple traffic violations.
The Trooper observed signed of impairment and a subsequent investigation, including standardized field sobriety tests was conducted. The driver, 52 year old Craig D. Block from Medford, WI, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant 7th offense. Mr. Block was transported to a local hospital for an evidentiary test of his blood and then to the Jackson County Jail.
