New Program Aims to Keep WI Schools Safe

The Wisconsin Department of Justice is launching a new initiative aimed at keeping schools safe.

This involves creating regional Critical Incident Response Teams across the state. The teams are made up of volunteers of multiple areas, including law enforcement, school administrators, counselors, and psychologists. All team members will attend a training session being held throughout the summer. The program is expected to launch in the fall. Wisconsin is the first state to implement regionally based Critical Incident Response Teams statewide.
