Calls of an erratic driver leads to an arrest.
At approximately 8:26 p.m. Northwest Region WI State Patrol dispatch center received a call of a driving complaint. The suspect vehicle was traveling west on I-94 in St. Croix County and driving erratically, almost striking another vehicle. A WI State Patrol Trooper located the vehicle and stopped it.
The driver was identified as Khadijah C. Locke and showed signs of impairment. A subsequent investigation, including standardized field sobriety testing, showed that Ms. Locke was operating a motor vehicle while impaired. There were also 4 minor children in the vehicle, ages 10, 6, 4, and 2.
Locke was arrested and transported to a local hospital for an evidentiary chemical test of her blood and then to the St. Croix County Jail. She is being charged with operating a motor vehicle while impaired with minors in the vehicle, lane deviation, no insurance, and open intoxicants.
