The utility company in Marshfield says water in the city is safe to drink, but also says they are closing four wells because of PFAS contamination worries.
Marshfield Utilities made the announcement yesterday. The company is not saying just how high the PFAS numbers in the four wells are, but officials say they are not in violation of any clean water standards. PFAS chemicals, also known as forever chemicals, are getting a lot of attention as they are showing-up in more water and soil samples across Wisconsin and across the country.
