Madison is a top-20 city to start a career in.
That’s according to WalletHub, which ranks Madison 16th out of the country’s 182 largest cities. Madison ranks first-overall in the quality of life category but just 61st in the professional opportunities category. Milwaukee also makes the list but in the bottom third at 131st. WalletHub says the top city to start a career in is Salt Lake City, Utah and the lowest-ranked city is North Las Vegas, Nevada.
