INVASIVE BAH-HUM…BUG!

The State of Wisconsin is urging residents to burn their wreaths and other evergreen Christmas decorations because of an invasive bug that’s been popping up.

The Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection says the microscopic elongate hemlock scale feeds on the underside of the needles and can infect multiple plant species and has been found on similar decorations at department stores across the state.  Stores across the state have also been advised to destroy any infected products for fear of the bug spreading.
