There will be no jail time for the young man who set-off a homemade firework in the Deer District after last year’s Bucks’ championship.
Instead, the now-18-year-old will have to write an apology letter and an essay about his future. A judge last week signed-off on a deferred prosecution agreement with Deonte Span. The deal means his original charges will be reduced to disorderly conduct if he finishes his writing assignment.
No one was hurt in the explosion in the Deer District, but the blast sent police and championship celebrators running.
