On This Day…

On This Day…

Hello.

Welcome to your weekend. We’re glad you are here!

Each Saturday morning is a time for us to take a few minutes to slow down a bit and “scroll down memory lane.” A simpler way to begin a day and look back at the pages of history before we set out to write new events on this day.

So, grab your favorite sippin’ drink and let’s scroll!

Today is Saturday, April 23rd, the 113th day of the year.  There are 252 days until the end of the year.

In 2010, Arizona Governor Jan Brewer signed a controversial immigration bill into law.  The bill aimed to prosecute and deport illegal immigrants and gave police broad power to detain anyone suspected of being in the country illegally.  Critics, including President Obama, said the bill gave license to harass and discriminate against immigrants.

In 2020, then President Trump suggested COVID-19 could be treated if patients are injected with disinfectant.  Disinfectant companies and other government officials issued statements shortly following saying doing so is extremely dangerous.

And that brings us here to this day.
So, whatever plans you have for your own 4.23.2022 here’s hoping there are moments along the way to record in the pages of your personal history.
