Roy J. Campbell, 34 years of age, from Chicago, IL has been arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol Eau Claire Post for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 1st offense, with two children in the vehicle under the age of 16.
On 04-22-22, at approximately 9:55 p.m., a WI State Patrol Trooper responded to a report of a vehicle crash on I-94 at mile marker 118 in Jackson County. Upon arrival it was determined that there were no injuries from the crash and only property damage. The driver was identified as Roy J. Campbell and showed signs of impairment.
A subsequent investigation, including standardized field sobriety testing, showed that Mr. Campbell was operating a motor vehicle while impaired. There were also 2 minor children in the vehicle. Mr. Campbell was arrested and transported to a local hospital for an evidentiary chemical test of his blood. He is being charged with operating a motor vehicle while impaired with minors in the vehicle. Jackson County Sheriff’s Department and Black River Fire and EMS also assisted at the scene.
