At least one U.S. representative in Wisconsin fired off a statement at midnight in response to the federal government shutdown that had just started. The government partially shut down after a House-backed funding bill failed to get 60 votes in the Senate. Democratic Milwaukee Congresswoman Gwen Moore said President Trump’s tantrums have forced the nation into political and economic chaos, and she called the shutdown and Trump’s behavior inexcusable.
