The Waukesha Christmas Parade attack suspect says he doesn’t feel safe in jail.
Darrell Brooks Jr. wrote a letter to his mother complaining that other inmates were spitting in his food, and accusing jail guards of using racial slurs and making vague threats about him dying in prison. Waukesha County’s sheriff says Brooks filed a complaint with them about his treatment. But the sheriff says a review found Brooks is being treated appropriately.
He’s facing life in prison for the deaths of six people at the Waukesha Christmas Parade last November.
