Social service agencies in La Crosse aren’t all on-board with the city’s plan to find new homes for the homeless.
The Salvation Army last week sent a letter to city hall, saying the plans to keep the homeless in the local Econo Lodge until the end of April doesn’t solve the city’s homeless problem. The Salvation Army says La Crosse is simply moving people from Houska Park to places that are indoors. La Crosse is trying to find a permanent solution for its homeless, but doesn’t have anything set in stone just yet.
