Kids across the state of Wisconsin will bring home a little something extra next month.
The Attorney General’s Office says it will be distributing over 900 thousand fingerprint ID kits to school kids. The idea is for parents to keep their child’s fingerprints and some personal information on-hand just in case the kids go missing. Law enforcement officials say the kits are for parents to keep and are not meant to be sent back to the state. The kits will cost nearly three million dollars to buy.
