The family of two murdered Shawano brothers will have to wait another year to see if they get justice.
A judge on Monday pushed back Joey Nelson’s trial for the murders of Nicholas and Justin Diemel until next March. Nelson’s lawyers say he needs a mental evaluation before trial. The trial was supposed to start in June. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty in the case.
They say Nelson killed the brothers over a bad cattle deal, then burned or dismembered their bodies and tried to hide their deaths.
