There’s an appeal in Wisconsin’s ballot drop box case.
The state’s Elections Commission yesterday asked a court to freeze the ruling from a Waukesha County judge that said ballot drop boxes are not allowed under Wisconsin’s election laws. The Elections Commission wants ballot drop boxes to be allowed for at least next month’s primary election. Disability groups in the state are also joining-in on the appeal.
The Waukesha judge said Wisconsin law is clear, people can only vote at the polls or by sending their absentee ballot back through the mail.
