WI High Court Hears Proposed Changes to Political Maps

The Wisconsin Supreme Court is holding hearings today on proposed changes to the state’s political districts.

The Wisconsin Legislature has been unable to come to an agreement with Governor Tony Evers on the new maps, so the responsibility has been handed over to the Supreme Court.  The Supreme Court is considering map proposals from several people and groups, including Evers and Republicans and Democrats in the Legislature.

Once the Supreme Court decides it will be the first times it’s drawn Wisconsin’s political maps since the 1960’s.
