Prosecutors File New Charges Against Waukesha Parade Suspect

Darrell Brooks Junior is looking at dozens of more charges for the Waukesha Christmas Parade attack.

Prosecutors in Waukesha yesterday filed 71 new charges of reckless endangerment.  Police say Brooks barreled through the parade in late November, killing six and injuring more than 60 others.  The new charges cover the injuries to people in the parade and those who were watching.  Brooks is already facing life in prison on homicide charges, the new charges each carry a 12-year sentence.  Prosecutors say Brooks will never get out of prison if convicted.
