Kids in Eau Claire who test positive for the coronavirus could miss less school.
The city’s school district yesterday said it will allow students who don’t have any symptoms to return to class after five days of quarantine, as opposed to ten. The district says those kids will have to wear a mask when they return to class.
If any student is showing symptoms, they will have to remain at home for ten days. Eau Claire schools are also allowing vaccinated students who come into close contact with someone who tests positive for the virus to remain in school. Unvaccinated students with a close-contact have to go home for five days.
