One of Wisconsin’s congressmen says we cannot close schools again.
Congressman Mike Gallagher from Green Bay says it was our ‘biggest blunder’ during the first year of the coronavirus to lock kids out of their schools. He says the loss of learning and the real harm that caused are undeniable. Gallagher also says adults need to stop ‘injecting fear’ into kids’ classrooms. He says the data shows the omicron variant is much more transmissible, but far less dangerous than the earlier strains of the coronavirus, particularly among school-aged kids.
