Lane expansion for the Beltline Highway is being delayed until the summer.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation has plans to open up the inside median shoulders of the Beltline to be used as flex lanes during heavy traffic times. However, due to a shortage of software chips needed for the signs that will be used, the project is being put on hold. The D-O-T says the signs will be installed and tested in the spring and the lanes should be open in time for summer.
