A Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s deputy is recovering from injuries inflicted during an altercation with a man suffering from mental health issues.
Officials say the deputy was hurt during a scuffle with a man who was reported running in and out of traffic on I-41 near Highway 23 yesterday afternoon. The deputy suffered a significant knee injury but was able to handcuff suspect. The suspect faces several charges including resisting arrest causing injury.
