There’s a warning about holiday scams ahead of the big shopping weekend.
Wisconsin’s Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection says people need to be on the look-out for too-good-to-be true deals and internet scams. DATCP says beware of any online delivery notices for products you’re not sure that you ordered. There’s also the warning about offers that include ‘free’ gift cards. And the state is also warning people never to give out their personal or financial information to any website or anyone who calls. That’s almost always a dead giveaway for a scam.
