WI State School Report Cards Released

It’s going to take a few days to sift through all of the numbers that come along with Wisconsin’s state school report cards.

The Department of Public Instruction released the report cards yesterday. DPI says 95 percent of school districts meet or exceed state standards. But the report cards are different than in years past, and that changes how many schools got passing grades. In many ways, the report cards show schools are doing worse than when the report cards were last issued two years ago. The Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty yesterday said the new report cards ‘mask troubling declines in student proficiency.’
