It was not the best day for prosecutors in Kyle Rittenhouse’s trial.
One of the prosecution’s own witnesses told jurors yesterday that one of the men who Rittenhouse shot and killed was being very aggressive, chased Rittenhouse down, and lunged at him on the night he got shot. Daily Caller videographer Richie McGinniss detailed the chase and the shooting, which he witnessed. He said the man who was shot was very angry and yelled at Rittenhouse as he lunged for Rittenhouse’s rifle.
More witnesses are expected today, the prosecution could wrap-up its case by Tuesday.
There was a shake up in the jury as well. A joke about the Jacob Blake shooting has cost a man in Kyle Rittenhouse’s trial his seat on the jury.
The judge yesterday dismissed the juror for telling the joke to a deputy after court on Wednesday. The judge in the case said the joke clearly shows the juror is biased. Rittenhouse’s lawyers didn’t object to the juror being let go.
