The public is being warned about scammers claiming to be a multi-million-dollar Powerball winner.
The name of Manuel Franco of West Allis, who won a 768-million-dollar jackpot in 2019, is being used in text messages, phone calls and emails looking for personal information. Recipients of the bogus messages are told they’ve been chosen to receive money from Franco. The Better Business Bureau of Wisconsin is reminding the public against giving out any personal information.
