The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is releasing some alarming statistics about mental health in Eau Claire County. So far in 2018, there has been 13 suicides and the director of the county health department says that’s higher than many other counties in Wisconsin.
The county department of human services points to alack of mental care as a leading cause of the deaths. The department director says she hopes to expand its resources to meet the needs of people with mental health issues.
