An Eau Claire man out hunting for deer says he got too close for comfort with a black bear.
Dalton Roach says the bear climbed-up to his tree stand in Trempealeau County over the weekend. It wasn’t until the bear started to bite at Roach’s back that he got-up and confronted the bear. Roach says he made himself as big as possible and started screaming. The bear backed down, and Roach was able to escape with nothing more than a great story to tell.
